Mission and Vision

Mission

The Vinedale Community is committed to working collaboratively to develop 21st century productive citizens. In order for every student to learn every day, the school will set high expectations and provide a safe learning environment for student learning. Teachers will not only teach the California State Content Standards, but also nurture students to use technology to take an active role in choosing, achieving and demonstrating competency in their learning goals. Our graduates will have a solid foundation in their core subjects to meet the demands of a more complex global labor market and they will also have a rich understanding of post high school pathways to the plethora of college and career opportunities in their futures. Parents will assist the school by providing the best possible home environment for student success. Parents will also have a clear understanding of college entrance requirements, application processes, and financial aid opportunities to facilitate the transition from high school to a postsecondary education in preparation for their child’s future career. Students will put forth their best effort in attending school, mastering the state standards, harnessing the use of current technologies and giving back to their community through exploring local and global issues by working with others to investigate solutions.

Vision

The Vinedale community is dedicated to working collaboratively to educate all students in becoming college and career ready by mastering the common core state standards. Vinedale Elementary staff, parents, students, and the community will effectively educate all students to become empowered, digital citizens, knowledge constructors, innovative designers, computational thinkers, creative communicators, and global collaborators. We will promote an atmosphere of safe, respectful, and responsible behavior. Additionally, in order for our students to have the opportunity to pursue college, we will educate them on the steps to get there, to get in, and what to expect. Every student will learn to become a responsible member of society and make significant contributions to their school, family, community, and country. Students will take responsibility for their own behavior. All stakeholders will work collaboratively to carry out this vision.
