Vinedale Elementary School

Spirit Weeks

We've Got Spirit, Yes We Do! We've Got Spirit, How 'Bout You?

Twice a year, Vinedale students show their spirit by participating in spirit weeks. Each day is a special theme that encourages students to either dress up or participate in a certain way. Some past spirit days have included Hawaiian Day, Moustache Day, Crazy Hat Day, Crazy Hat Day, and the every popular, Pajama Day. During the Fall is Red Ribbon Week where students are encouraged to not take drugs and taught about the consequences of such actions. During the Spring is Read Across America and Dr. Seuss Spirit Week where students are encouraged to read and taught about the joys of reading.

Dr. Seuss Spirit Week

Look forward to March when we will celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday and the spirit of reading! Here are the spirit day themes this year:

Monday (February 25th) = Crazy Hat Day/Wear anything Dr. Seuss related

Tuesday (February 26th) = Nothing Dr. Seuss (Black History Month Celebration instead)

Wednesday (February 27th) = Wear clothes backwardinside out, or mismatched

Thursday (February 28th) = Wear clothes representing your future career (doctor, lawyer, etc.) or your favorite college-wear

Friday (March 1st) = Pajama Day and bring your favorite book to school!
