Vinedale Elementary School

Leadership / Governance

Vinedale College Preparatory Academy has an advisory committee and a decision making council for our Consolidated Application programs at the school to improve student achievement. The School Site Council (SSC) develops, approves, and revises our Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). Our council is composed of: the principal, three classroom teachers, one school personnel representative, and five parents. Our English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) advises and makes recommendations to our School Site Council on the SPSA, especially in sections related to our English Learners. The committee also assists with the school’s needs assessment, language census and parent awareness about the importance of regular school attendance.

Student Leadership

Vinedale College Preparatory Academy also provides students with the opportunity of student leadership. Students in grades 3-6 are able to join committees that perform various tasks and activities. Such groups include Ambassadors, Mentor/Buddy Program, Public Speaking, Event Coordinators, Cafeteria Workers, Play Leaders, and Imprints.
